Husband addicted to Skooma

OK..I feel unfullfilled...I get this quest to look for this addicted husband....I wander around the lower level and attack a zombie fella...my journal says updated and to my surprise it says this was the guy..andI take his ring back to the wife....
Was that really the way it was supposed to go? I had no diea it was him when I whooped him...feel sorta bad about it now..

Also, there is a fella looking for his friend a level up..I found the friend in that same sewer level..a thief...but I don't seem tobe getting any conversation trigger to acknowledge that I found her..

I don't know about the friend quest you are talking about, but for the Skooma guy.. If you talk to people, they will metion a book detailing one addict's experiance with skooma addiction. Go and buy the book from the vendor in the foreign quarter ("tales of a skooma addict", or something to that effect), then go talk to the drugie in the sewers. Once you boost his dispostion up to a certain point, he will take the book from you and say he will do his best to kich the habit... that's the end of the quest.

ah...pity, sadly, I hit quick save after killing the fella and don't have a real close save and don't feel enough guilt about my unsatisying ending to replay...
It's one of the thing that I keep getting tripped up on..doing something and then later finding that one piece of the puzzle to make it allll different....

I hear ya. Every time I get a new quest with the name of someone I'll need to talk to, I get this sinking feeling that it was the last guy to mutter "damn outlander" as I walked by.. they all end up dead (pure coincidence, I swear). So far so good, it hasn't happened yet.. but I'm sure it will.

Ahnassi wanted to break the bond with the husband, even if the book was a more humane way to do it, the actual killing will also work, I'm just curious if this had any effect while trying to make her move to the stronghold, at this point I only have all the prostitutes from Suran living there.

Edit for mortar and pestle. Ive tried racer plum, marshmerrow, blah blah its all bad. Don't tell me moonsugar either, I dont want to get rejected by the merchants like that again.

I had one of those too and when I went to make potions with my other potion making equiipment, it added itself into one of the slots. LIke a potion helper..I had something better, so got rid of it.
