Hi folks. I was having tons of fun until all the sudden my personality, luck, and agility scores started going down. Now they've stabilized, but they all have lost 20+ points. I've used all the cures(blight, normal disease, poison). I've used both the other options they give you at the temple in balmora's shrines. I simply cannot figure out what's wrong. I've been having nightmares when I rest(you know, tall figure leading you through a bunch of bodies or something) so I really don't know what's going on. All help appreciated.

The nightmares are a normal part of the story progression, don't worry about those. Heck, you can fully ignore any part of the main story for as long as you want =D. But anyway, back to your stats. Have you been fighting any undead things lately? They can drain your stats and no icon will show up, they'll just be highlighted in red. For fixing that you will need either a spell that restores the drained attribute (Restore Agility and the like), a scroll with that enchantment, or drink a potion with that effect. I am not sure if shrines cure that since I always fix it with my potions (got alchemy as one of my class skills) or spells. Another detail you will want to know though, if you are wearing any items that have a constant fortify attribute effect (like the Ring of the Wind or Mentor's Ring or the Boots of the Apostle, etc), you need to remove the item before curing the drain. I'm guessing it's a bug in the game that doesn't let you restore an attribute if you are wearing an item that boosts it.

are you having weird dreams after every rest?
if you are....youre a vamp my friend if not...then buy a 'restore ability' spell, and choose whatever ability it is you need restored

Thanks a ton. I had this belt that adds 3 to my endurance on while I was trying to cure it, I'll go try out more potions now. Hope it works.

your better off buying spells for restore ability...
that way you always have a cure and its better then going off to search for potions

Another great cure is to simply pray at a St. Veloth's shrine and ask for Almnsivi Restoration. This will bring back all your stats in a jiffy, I find it works great after wading through undead for awhile ^_^
I've encountered three St. Veloth's shrines so far. One in the Thales Tomb west of Seyda Neen, one in an island also to the west off Seyda Neen and one far south of Balmora, where you find the fantastic Mentor's Ring. Hope that helps. |
