I will be attempting to run a game in which a team of investigators working for a new television show are sent to investigate various mysteries, some real, some pranked. This will require players to use their heads more often then their weapons (although there will be ample oppetunity for that).

Classes are:

-Cameraman (Electronic specialist) - Hired to operate cameras but can also excel in 2 areas:

1. Computers
2. Surviellence Equipment
3. Electronic Repairs
4. Electronic Recordings (Video and whatnot)

-Security
Broken into 3 sub-groups -
- Ex-police officers - Basic weapon training and respect from other law enforcers
- Ex-military - Heavy weapons training
- Common thug - Little weapons training but decent fist-fighting skills and knowledge of less then legal techniques

-Researchers
Made up of journalists and scientists

- Journalists - Skilled at looking up background information on people and places, also has connections with other journalists
- Scientists - High level of scientific knowledge, including biology and chemestry

-Paranormal Investigators
Can specialise in 2 areas
- Unknown animals (big foot, loch ness monster, chapacubra etc)
- Ufos and aliens
- Mysterious artifacts
- Mysterious symbols and languages

-Medic
The teams medical advisor, specialises in helping injured people and examining corpses and skeletons for cause of death

Just post your characters name, class and some background and if we have enough people I shall run it.

What an exciting and original idea, shadowhound! I wish you luck!

This is one I think I'll keep tuned into.

Thanks Larry, I just hope that there will be enough players.

Also there will be a mental health system, many of the things the characters will see may push them towards insanity. Each character will start with 40 sanity points and as they lose or regain points they may gain phobias or other problems. Point loss will be allocated depending on how bad the scare and a flip of the coin to see if it affects each character.

I'm interested. Mind if I make my character after a few people have joined? Maybe try PMing a few close friends and asking if they're interested?

Sounds like a wonderful idea...
I would be interested in being a paranormal investigator,
Mysterious artifacts
Mysterious symbols and languages
but would not be able to fully divest attention until after third week of December.. (after finals)

Thats alright TAO, odds are that the game's pace wont be too fast. A bit of character background would be required.
Thanks for the suggestion SG, take all the time you need.

Jaggaer Haggert

Paranormal Investigator
UFOs and Aliens
Ancient Symbols and Languages

Has been obsessed with space since he was a small child. As he grew up, he learned of a theory that aliens created humans, and our intelligence. He has been set in his mind ever since to discover the truth about human exhisted and perseveres in his theory that aliens not only created us, but they taught us to communicate and left over several clues as to their exhistence. So in college he studied the ancient languages and symbols used by early civilizations hoping to find evidence one day of the teaching of aliens. Spends his free time looking for similarities between Egyptian, Aztec, and Mayan texts and symbols.

Anthony Robinson

Security-
ex S.W.A.T.

Father was mysteriously killed when he was a boy.His mother died when he was 19, so he entered the police force. He was a captain when he finally joined S.W.A.T. at the age of 30.He's more physically fit than most athletes and has an attitude a mile long.He visits his mother every Monday at a near by cementary. He also likes to refer to your head as your "dome-piece".

Looks almost exactly like Stone Cold Steve Austin, sounds like him too.

Name: Corbin Goldsmith
Class: Cameraman (Computers and Electronic Recordings)

If you were to go back to Corbin's highschool friends and ask them what Corbin was like, they'd probably say he was spazzy, paranoid, but still a decent guy. While in school, Corbin's electives usually consisted of anything that had to do with A/V. He liked making short films and random documentaries about his school. After graduating, he went to a film school and worked on becoming a cameraman. He finally graduated and went onto to do camera work for whoever would hire him. He did know a bit about paranormal oddities and things. While in school, his room mate was a paranormal freak and never shutup about it. The talk about alien abductions, ghosts, and some weirdos called 'mad gassers' just made him feel uncomfortable.

(Hope this is fine shadowhound, if I messed up somewhere, lemme know. It's been awhile since I've done any kind of game so I'll be a bit on the rusty side.)
