It just seems like a good idea to share ideas---after all, being a GM is fun, but sometimes hard. So, post your ideas for roleplaying game sessions, storylines, or ideas!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) One of my favorite ideas in GMing was one in which I made the PCs part of a reality TV show with shady backgrounds. It turned out that the entire show was just a front for training them to be part of the Bounty Hunter's Guild---after they completed a series of unrelated tasks for the entertainment of the "home viewers" they were finally made aware that the show had been cancelled in its second week because their ship (this was in Star Wars) had blown up in hyperspace. After a bit more investigation, they were made aware that this was all just a test to see if they were bounty-hunter material, and now the PCs are all aspiring bounty hunters.

2) In a Vampire the Masquerade campaign, I had the Setites try to start a war between the Camarilla and the Camarillian Nosferatu by exposing the fact that the Prince of the city was in fact being impersonated by a Nosferatu. Complications included Inquistors with Mechanized Combat Armor and the detonation of nuclear weapons at the hands of the Nosferatu/Setites (one was trying to frame the other).

How about an Alien Versus Predator roleplay with no one person who decides the story, but instead each player decides if he is part of the Yautja Clan (preds), the Hive (Aliens), or the 456th Division (Marines) and let the story work itself out.

Hmmm, I think he's looking for stuff that has its own system, now, Armageddon. I always enjoy the "terrorist ninjas attack" scenario.
Also, working in a recurring villain can make things interesting. (So the player tells his GM )

Ah yes...I forgot about "TERRORISTS NINJAS ATTACK ___________" Scenario!

Yeah, that is more along the lines of what I was looking for, but I welcome other ideas too---they can be adapted.

I strive to give my campaigns random and completely implausible twists that ultimately are flimsily connected at the last minute in a haphazard way...is that bad?

KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING!

Really? Call the New York Times, they may have work for you. Anyways, as long as we're talking terrosist ninjas. How about they're injas who were caught in a time warp created by real terrorists in their diabolical plot to undercook the Presiden't burrito in the microwave, and while the terrorists and ninjas are caught in the warp, they fuse to become the terrosrist ninjas (At least this gives a backround to them). And for no reason, they start out in the basement of a middle school in some hick town with a population of less than 1500 people in the middle of a state no-one cares about(cough-cough *Maine* cough) cares about.

Sounds about right, Armageddon...that's a significant portion of our sessions.

Suggestions, anyone else?

hehe, I knew you would like the idea of an AvP rp, and now that I have started playing the game again, I can see just how cool that would be.

I dont know why, but I think some sort of Star Wars rp would be cool, just not with known characters(like the people from the movies)

LOL...

Do you read my posts, HT??? *nudge nudge*

Number 1 above was set in a Star Wars universe. As far as that goes, though, I'd really like to try out something in the NJO time period....hmm...ideas are flowing to me, but since they involve Drew/Dron, I can't say them here.

Yeah, basically, it's like KOTOR, only with infinitely customizable characters, dynamic adventures, and inside jokes.
