"Help me" the fragile voice echos in your mind. you see the source of the speaker, a finger bathed in pale light. She dressed in white silk gawn like starlight against the night, and her amber eyes filled with sorrow.

You tried to speak but could not voice your words. She reached to you, hands streched, and you see her transparent being reaching through you.

Suddenly you saw images, ones of the past flash through your mind. Your mind's eye stared into the river of time. Trillians of figers and forms twist and swirl before you, and you saw love, joy turned into hate and suffer. With a shriek, you awoke, and the last sound of dying rattle echoing in your mind.

You relaxed your hand, and found a moonstone resting peacefully in your palm. Its marbled quality reflecting the stars.

ok, this is a 2e game. all you need is character. no Psionist, sorry, I dont like them. you can be any character you want to be. and i will make up the stats for you, and you dont need to roll anything.

this game is set within Forgotten Realm concerning the Zentil Keep.

I will take care the calculations for you. you do need to role play though. For example, your party has a fighter named Aregon and a thief named Frodo and a mage named Gandalf. and you are on your way to the dungeon of Moria.

You stood before a rune carved door. The runes are elvish, and

(DM, thats me: make a save for everyone against intelligent) <--- you will not see this part in game play

Gandalf read the words to be "Speak friend and enter"

then you will have to solve this puzzle. you will not need to, however, create a puzzle yourself and solve it yourself.

and later you are ambushed by a group of orcs.

Suddenly shouts erupted all around you. The darkness seemed to raise into life. Aregon's sword was ready in a blink of eye

(DM notes: obviously he didnt fail his save, and everyone else will wait for one round. now aregon has a chance to either make an attack or retreat or do something to protect his other two friends.)

the orcs charged from their hiding holes, and a few arrows sizzled pass the group. One barely missed Frodo by an inch. A barrage of rocks caved in from above.

(DM notes: Aregon will avoid the rocks falling, but other two will have to take dmg due to being caught by surprise)

the pain brought Frodo and Gandalf to there senses, and thus they began their respective actions.

(DM notes: roll roll roll...)

got it?

well, I need 4 to 5 ppl. anyone interested?

what is a bladebard, would you provide a description of blade bard? I will consider it.

also to everyone else, this game will be around lvl 4 to 7, so mid level characters.

also, a well-thought character background AND inspiring portrait art work (doesnt have to be yours, but better that it is your own) will give you bonus on stats or experience or money, which ever do you choose.

say, a human mage gets the bonus, and he chooses stats bonus. He will have his primary stats setted to maxmum, which is 18. and a +1 to his secondary stats, which could be dexterity or constitution.

I think she is referring to the Blade kit from the Bard class. Baldur's Gate 2 has such a kit, but I am not sure whether it is an accurate representation.

Give me an hour or more to type out a character description.

Surprise, surprise. I am not going to be a spellcaster. Been getting overdosed the past couple of weeks by newbies who keep asking me for spellcasting advice. I am this close >< to being burnt out. Therefore I am going to try something more simple.

Name: Robin Clym
Race: Human male
Class: Ranger
Age: 21

Reclusive in nature since young, Robin Clym was not the type of person to talk much, let alone socialise around. His parents lived on a farm, and he attended the nearest local village( about 6 miles through a shortcut in a forest) school by foot. Due to this, he was used to trekking long distances, and over the years, he built up a remarkable stamina. When he reached his teens, he started jogging to school, then running.

There was also a band of Rangers that lived in the forest, and whenever Robin was free, he would join them out of curiosity and fascination, for they appeared to be able to communicate with the animals and like him, they rarely talked much, thus establishing a special sort of bond between them. Despite all this, life was pretty simple and it would have stayed that way until that fateful day.

There came a day when Goblins and Orcs started raiding the farmlands. Nobody knew why, but their savagery and brutality were causing panic among the hapless farmers and their families. Robin's father knew that his son was a fast runner, and instructed the teenager to run and get help from the Rangers while he and the rest of the farmers got ready to make a last stand on his farm.

Robin ran like he never ran before. It was almost as though he was flying through the air as he speedily navigated the twists and turns in the forest. Reaching the Rangers, he told them of the danger and led them as fast as he could to the farm. It was just in time too, for the Goblin and Orc raiders had reached the farm as well. A fierce battle ensued, as farmers brandished pitchforks and shovels, while the Rangers wielded quarterstaves, clubs and bows against the Goblins' poisonous daggers and the Orcs' battleaxes and warhammers.

Victory was on the farmers' side that day, but at a terrible price. The raiders retreated when they realised this was not going to be some easy meal, but they inflicted losses. The farm was ablaze, and Robin's parents were slain, among others, while bravely defending the farm. The surviving farmers gave their sympathies, but Robin just sat quietly on a stool looking at his father's pitchfork in his hands.

Robin would most certainly have ended up in an orphanage, while the farm got sold to the highest bidder, but fate had different plans in mind for him. Upon realising Robin's plight, the Rangers offered to shelther him. Robin accepted and asked for help in settling some things first before he joined them properly. The Rangers agreed and Robin proceeded to sell off the farm, before he did so though, he ran around the farm sprinkling the cremated ashes of his parents onto the ground. Using the money, he bought some clothes and other equipment based on the suggestions of the Rangers.

After the small ceremony that officially made him part of the Ranger band, he swore an oath to be a good person and to honour his parents by doing what is right, and to help the people.

The Rangers taught him how to survive in the wild and appreciate the balance in nature, and were impressed by his speed. So fast and nimble was Robin, that he could catch rabbits with his bare hands. Several more years went by before the next stepping stone in his life happened.

The dream that would changed his life.

Robin Clym uses Longbows and Quarterstaves. He does not usually use metal weapons, as he lives in the wild where metal weapons are not easily maintained( corrosion from moisture and lack of blacksmiths). He prefers wearing non-metal armour for the same reason, and the fact that it will slow him down when running.

He is not silent when running, there is a distinct whistling sound when he runs at top speed.

He does not usually wear headgear as it hinders his eyesight, balance and adds air resistance while running. He will use ioun stones though, but he keeps them in his pockets when running, as he tends to run faster than the ioun stone can catch up( basically it messes up their orbit).

He prefers to observe a situation first before entering it. However, if a person is in immediate danger, he will react first.

Hmmmm... that is all I can think of now. Did I leave out anything important?

Woah, nice description Dundee.

Now to elaborate on my character..

Name- Skye
Race- halfelf
Class- Bladebard
gender- female
age- about 19, human years
allignment- good neutral
proficiencies-
+++ dagger
+++longbow
++++bastardsword
++++martial arts (ill change these if you want)

as for a bladebard description, ill just post wat they say in balder's gate 2 manual...
Blade(Bard kit)- The Blade is an expert fighter and adventurer whose bardic acting abilities makke him appear more intimidating and fearsome. His fighting style is flashy and entertaining, but is also quite deadly.

Physical description-dark chestnut brown hair plaited into a braid a little past her behind, with chunky jagged bangs. hazel eyes with an odd shade of violet. Very easygoing and easy to get along with, Skye always has a grin or smirk on her face, and practically everyone (including strangers) finds it easy to confide and trust her. Not wanting to have an opinion of any side, she doesn't follow any deity nor support any particular government. Because of this trait, Skye is usually a good mediator, and her friendly personality makes her a good bard. Sometimes she is a bit clumsy, but despite that she is a very lethal fighter. She can be mischievious sometimes, but on the flipside she can be very cautious and serious. Skye is usually found in a tavern, entertaining the populace, or wandering about the countryside, in search for exciting quests (and inspirations for songs). Because of her eastern origin, she's dressed somewhat outlandishly, but it's covered with an elven made cloak. Underneath she's wearing light handcrafted elven chain that doesnt inhibit her martial arts or bardic skills. Around her neck on a silver chain is the symbol of the elven house her mother belongs to. Skye has a pack that she carries her various necessaries that any adventurer needs, and some pouches on her belt.

History- Skye originated from the east, where the elves and humans got along somewhat well, so half elves weren't entirely uncommon. Her mother was elven, who seduced a human and bore Skye. She took Skye into the elven clan, and she never knew about her father except that he supposedly was a thief who was later hung. Raised in the elven clan, she learned the delicate arts that was common to elves, but unfortunately her human clumsiness still showed, and was a cause of much annoyance to her elven instructors. Because her mother was an aristocrat, Skye was able to train in the martial arts style of fighting that was only used by the aristocractic elves. She became a blade bard, in order to fulfill her mother's wishes of her to be learned in the arcane arts and martial arts, and also to respect her father's class. (bards know some magic, and also are trained somewhat like thieves.. or at least that was Skye's reasoning at the time). Upon having learned all she could, her thirst for knowledge and adventure made her wander westward, despite her mother's wishes for her to remain. Worried that someone might have been sent after her, Skye never mentions this part of her past. During her travels, a strange twist of fate bound her to a a cynical blueviolet song dragon, Lyulfe, so technically he and her were now blood brother and sister, according to draconic law.
Now at this present time, Lyulfe had gone north to where some song dragon clans were rumoured to be, while Skye had continued westerly, and ended up in this location.

Tell me if you need to know anything else.. ^^

sorry Skye, you are not so specialized in fighting.

You are trained in Dagger, Long Bow, and specialized in Bastard Sword.

Martial Arts gives you an edge in combat, as a bonus.

Skye and Dundee, check your PM (and sorry Dundee, I sent you 3 times... no editing is a suck thing)
