The ancient lores tell the tales of a distance land, where the dark creatures dwelled the nights of the mist of Byvalon. They spoke of the hideous island Huzer'lar of the necromencers, of the bizzare half man and beast wandered through the thick mazelike forest, of the wonderous black magic of the Lilith, of the lost city of Enoch the First.

They also spoke of the legendary artifacts guarded by the eight vampire clans, who once walked the land openly as "the Masters" of the Citidals, as the first borns, as the true mankind. They also spoke of great wealth beyond dreams, beyond the treasures of all dwarven kings could possess.

Byvalon, lost for centuries, now greeted another group of weary travelers. As the mist unclosed itself, the yellow dusted road led the group into the small, deathly quiet town of Zain. Clouds hanging low, bone chilling wind blew through the streets. Glancing about, you saw no one. The clicking and creaking noises brought your attention to numerous suspicious eyes peaking behind the cracks of the wooden houses. Up ahead, a broken sign hang lifelessly outside a small bricked building, fliping and leaping as the wind blowed pass. You barely make out the words on the sign to be "Inn of Darkbrew"

"This is it." You muttered. This has to be the inn that man you met mentioned. The Inn of Darkbrew is famous for its finely tasteful and strong beverage: the Darkbrew, but that wasn't the only reason that it is known. Many adventurers had rendered into this part fo the land, and those who claimed to taste the darkbrew was never found returning. Neither returned those who did not taste the drink, but it is not like it matters. That is what the Inn of the Darkbrew is famous for: the last home, the last drink, the last night of joy and warmth for those who dared to challenge the cruelity of fate in the mysterious land of Byvalon

The clouds hang lower still...

OOC: I just cannot stand the actionless time in the RP forum... sigh, my devoted energy has to find a way to unleash! hence come the new campaign of "the Myth of Byvalon"

In this campaign, as you see, there is already a group set out for adventure. Whoever in the group is up to whoever joins this campaign to decide.

by joining, you must fit in several things:
this is an adventure resembling to the ravenloft world. Byvalon is a land of mystery and horror. If you roleplay here, I am expecting an applusible degree of seriousness

there is no plotline yet, so it is up to you to design it. I'll only fill in details, and certain legends, or play some simple NPCs, but mainly. you create your own quest.

if you request, I can provide enecounters from time to time. and I can create mazes, as well as mini quests for you to do. I might give you some general directions from time to time, but it is mostly up to yourself.

good luck, and have fun. This is a land of mist

(OOC: Could we perhaps hear a bit more about this world? What races dwell there? Could I, for example, play a thri-keen if I wanted to? Or would I have to limit myself to humans?)

Byvalon is a land of mystery. It is set within the forgotten realms. So expect the world to have AD&D creatures. Most of the things function the same way that they do in other Forgotten Realm campaign

what unique about Byvalon, however, is the land inhereted a rich vamperic culture. From the legend of the Fall, to the First City, to the prophecy of Caine the Wanderer, to myth of the lost treasures of the kindred, to the Seven Cycle of Lilith, and to the clanless kindred that still dwelled within the ghastly towns of Byvalon.

Vamperism is tolerated here, and to certain extends, accepted. It is part of the culture. It is ethnic.

The dark mist that flourished the land of Byvalon cloacked this place for hundred and thousands of years, leaving the adventures to discover the untold horrors.

You will mainly face undead creatures, and sometimes, powerful and bizzare beasts that are not nessicerily found at any other part of the Forgotten Realm.

A pisonist would fare poorly, I am afraid, in this place. For the unlives do not share a mind to be toyed with.

(OOC: And the nice thing about psionicists are that only about 2/6ths of their powers involve messing around with the minds of others,

I will be a Thri-keen warrior if that's alright, and since all thri-keen have a 50% chance of having psionic wild talents I'll have a few psychokinetic wild talents....)
