It would be cool if Z could some how make a dice macro, then we could play just like a PnP session!

I am sure its inpossible, but hey I can still dream

It's possible to play in a similar style to PnP if a dm will host a game. In other words if someone who knows the rules well and is willing to do the rolls/work out the details as a dm would play and guide the game, you can have a remarkably rewarding experience in a roleplay very close to the PnP way of playing but with a little less structure and more time btwn actions/posts.

actually, I think, as long as the player/DM coordinate well, there is no need for dice

most of the time, DM can enforce an action without even having players' concious knowledge (instead of rolling dice) for the desire effect

ofc, there are times (in encounter) players tend to make themselves godly (hit everything, never get hit, never miss) it is up to DM to properly lead the players into right direction

sometimes, a DM can do:

The fighter stood there, weapon held determinely. He is going to die for this land, where his ancestors farmed and hunted over generations. He is prepared to die in his ancestor's name, to honor their proud bloodlineage...

the player will ponder "who is this fighter? what happens if I kill him? what happens if I dont?"

this way, a DM is encouraging players to roleplay the situation, instead of just throwing monsters hord in. and you dont need dice for roleplaying

also, create situation where players cannot fight through:
*a foe who is too strong to battle
*situation where players' best advantages are stripped away (no weapons, no spells)

there are many ways to avoid using dice. plain combat is just not fun to my taste, a good game needs spice

This is what Mistral and I are trying to do. We have a game almost complete, and ready to run soon.
