when i try backstabbing with valygar's katana i get "weapon not suitable for backstabbing"... i can backstab with dagger though.....
so what weapons can and what cant backstab? bah.. nothing of tghis is mentioned in manual... stupid manual has nothing in it [ 02-21-2002: Message edited by: ZFR ]

you can backstab with daggers,short swords,long swords,katanas.I have also heard that you can backstab with clubs and quatterstafs but honestly I can't think how you can backstab with nlunt weapons.
Valygar's katana surprisingly is not suitable for backstab.Use the CF to have backstab fun with Valygar.

Question - are you (your PC) using Valygar's katana? Or do you mean that Valygar is trying to backstab with it? I don't recall having trouble with Valygar backstabbing, but I might have already gotten Celestial Fury and Valygar would then have been using it. (My PC in that game is an Elven Archer).

valygar is using his katana... the carthala family blade...
guess i should try it with all weapons to be sure.. what about fists... can you backstab with that? also scimitars ninjatos or wakizashis???

You can backstab with:
- Daggers - Short Swords - Long Swords - Scimitars/Wakazishis/Ninja-tos - Katanas - Clubs - Quarterstaves HOWEVER, there are some specific items which are invisibly labled "Not Suitable for Backstabbing", including Valygar's Katana and the Staff of the Magi. Keep trying, you'll find something good to backstab with. -- Nifft |
