Peewee and his comrades are in Umar Hills and ready to hit Nalia's Keep soon. Upon checking journals, they still need to find the boys they met earlier. Being a dill-wit, I think it was Aerie who nudged Pewee into buying them all swords and a-bit-o booze. Peewee didn't have a problem with it until the little guys never returned. He remembered those youthful days and many a memorable nights at local taverns, different pubs, and small-town brothels. Na'er was a problem too big for his britches.

Peewee, being the bounter hunter he is, starts to scout about and track for any signs of the kiddies. Not a sign. He did notice one or two things however. The untamed cats out in the woods have a taste for groundhogs. Seems that bears and cats don't cause each other a fuss. Poor groundhogs however see the worse from both animals. Having a pet groundhog back in his day, Peewee made short work of the local dangers. Ah, then you see the groundhogs run free and more openly now - Minsc highly approves as does Boo. Peewee's feeling a small sense of himself returning and decides it's futile to search for the boys when he has bigger things ahead of em. He wonders if they were really that bad off to start with. To think of the boys creating casualties of themselves is something Peewee doesn't want to think about. He also thinks it's a silly notion, one that only noble pampering and sheltering brings.

Before Pewee makes his journey to Nalia's place, he decides to hit the merchants for another peak into their goods. By this time, it's raining and getting dark out. Aerie is complaning but not more than Jaheira is, and both together never complain as much as Anomen. Peewee is outside where some of the merchants are and looks through the bags and right then and there it happens.

Halfway through small talk with the town's local merchants, I think some divine power from up above sent a sign. As Anomen was standing next to Aerie ,probably trying to keep out of wind's way, down came a lightening bolt striking Anomen dead in his chest. The bolt passes through for a good 3 seconds. Next thing ya know all is silent. Anomen is fatally wounded, but the girls can't help to laugh. Who ever thought of it happening?

I mean.... what are the odds? (true story)

If Anomen really does get struck by lightening that's really funny. If you really want to find the kids you gave the beer and ale to you can find them in the back section of the cave in the Umar Hills.

Being Struck By Lightning Is Actually Quite Rare In My Expeience, But If Your Out In The Rain At Night Time It Can Happen, But Also, This Can Happen On Baldurs 1 Too!

That explains a lot! I had just exited the inn in the gate district and it was raining and night and Edwin got a good jolt...I had just been fighting, so I thought one of his electricity spells had gone awry. Only happened that once, thankfully, but it scared me.

Might be rare for you, but Korgan and my thief are like lightening rods. They got zapped every 20 minutes. Even in BG 1 my thief got zapped. Looks like the gods don't approve of stealing afterall...

Did you really hear a voice? I've been struck a few times, but I never get commentary. Of course, it can hit any of my guys, not just the ones wearing metal armor, but then again it doesn't do them any damage, either (which makes absolutely no sense). Just my 2gp....

don't forget the bhaalspawn you meet in Trademeet tavern!
He gets struck by lightning as soon as other Bhaalspawn appear. Maybe Anomen is Bhaalspawn too????
