The one power of these amulets that is most useful is their ability to be used as an ankh of strength. This is something that I haven't seen discussed much in this forum, so I am not sure that many are aware of it. When I give the amulets to my pixie warlock, she can invoke them in the same manner as an ankh to increase her strength. It only works for her, but I am assuming it will work for any wizards or warlocks (other possibility is only pixies??). Anyway, Tinkerbell has a strength of 24, which is the max you can increase to by this method. Next class change I make, I plan to convert someone to warlock, use all my spare amulets on them, then convert them again to my target class. Hope you haven't been all selling the amulets for cash.

The Amulets of Holding are supposed to give the invoker the Binding Force spell. If the invokee already has that spell, it will not work. Never heard of it increasing strength as well, so that's a really goodie to know!!

He means there's two options on how you use it. The first is to 'use' it to cast the spell (limit of 5, I believe). The second is to 'invoke' it, like an ankh. I never tried it, but always wondered (I suspect there is a spell of "Ignore this and do something else" on the amulet...).

Well silly me! I thought invoking it gave them the binding force spell. I've tried it a number of times and never had any result other than "failure" (which I get with most ankhs too)

Ha ha, just found out it works on any warlock - same result (strength) for amulets of binding and silence. Had someone (human samuraii, original warrior) I wanted to turn into assassin (ashamed to say I am abusing the dagger - was good with the lamp though, 3 wishes only) - anyway, converted him into warlock, then gave him 4 amulets (I had 7 saved up at that time), and promptly raised his strength to 24 which must be the maximum (all fail to raise above 24). Also note that the divine sigil for shifting boulders can be invoked (in my case by an original human priest now ninja) to raise spirituality. Seem to recall that the orb from the gypsy was similar. Happy invoking everyone.
