How hard is it to solo a character in Insane mode? How much more damage is caused to you?
*small spoiler about underdark* When you go to underdark and kill a creture in mines can cavalirers use a scroll to collapse the tunnel? Can they restore levels without going to a temple?

1. It says in the manual. I think monsters do 200% damage, but I'm not sure..

Completed SoA on Insane Difficulty with my solo Sorcerer, currently terrorising enemies in ToB with the PRATI tactic.
Have a solo Assassin in SoA too on Insane Difficulty, still in Chapter 3. PRATI = Project Image + Robe of Vecna + Amulet of Power + Time Stop + Improved Alacrity |

PS: When they are high enough of a level, Paladins can cast level 4 Priest Spells which include Lesser Restoration. So it is not necessary for them to buy scrolls all the time.
