If I remove the xp cap in SoA, and play through till the end, can I still play the ToB game with my main character or will I not be allowed because I have too much xp?

You'll be fine. In fact you'll probably have a great advantage being higher than normal level. ToB is TOUGH and you'll need as much XP as you can get
I\'m not crazy. I just don\'t live in your world

Nomatter what EXP your character is in SoA it gets put down to 2000000 at the start of ToB, if you wanted to have the max amount of highlevel abilities i wouldnt go much above the exp cap because you dont get high level abilities from the levels you were already over( if you go higher while still in SoA). Im not too sure though, tell me if im mistaken.

Actually it would be smarter to have TOB already installed when playing through SOA... as far as I know, this lifts the XP cap and enables you to get the TOB special high-level abilities in SOA.

melusine is correct. plus doing it this way you avoid the cutting down to 2000000 exp. which i dont really believe in anyway, but that is what a new TOB char starts at.

If you play from SoA and let it transfer you to ToB after completing it, you do not lose any Xp.
