i only got the game about a week ago. After playing the game without spells and not getting farther then chapter 2 i kinda figured that i was going to need to use my mage spells to beat most of my enemys. Now what i am looking for is a way to use my mage spells without using a cheat or customizer in ANY way.

Ok this is realy easy. Simply cast all buffing spells indoors, for some reason cowled mages don't seem to count indoors as the city .
You may want to also consider paying 5k for a casting licence. Hope this helps, personaly I very rarely use magic.

I would buy the license for 5000 gp if I was you. Simply go to the Council of Six building in the government district and talk to a mage named Corneil. Magic is very handy and it is worth the 5k, in my opinion.

You are a child of bhaal, no man/woman or anything in between has the power to oppose you !!!! (unless he's stronger offcourse)

Anywayz, it might make your life a whole lot harder, but try to gain some levels and experience and then challenge those cowles by casting magic on the streets adn fighting them. After a few fights, they'll give you a little surprise... IF you survive it, they wont ever bother you anymore
