I have no idea actually, gave up on the game for a while myself when it turned out the patch didn't solve any of my direct problems so I'm not going to play it for a few months.
Perhaps you could ask this at the official forums? I'm pretty sure someone over there is already working on a walkthrough for the game, perhaps they could be of your assistance.

To be honest, Caine, a large number of people here haven't played it yet, so you probably won't get a reply. A lot of people don't know what The Darkest Day is (this may change when the CD is released). That's why I suggested that most of these queries be posted at the Darkest Day website. Minto, Potencius and the other members of the MOD team visit every day. You will have a MUCH better chance of getting a reply there - rather than bumping your post here every hour for no result. You'll just invite other people to post on your thread saying that they don't know what it is, which doesn't really help you. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I haven't played it, but seeing as the intro reads: "As you step outside the elven city....." I'd assume that was a pretty big clue that the new quests took place and therefore the new areas can be accessed after the final battle with Irenicus. TDD is after all an add-on for high-level parties.
