Anoying problem...

Hi..
Glad to see that the board's up again...

I haven't been playing for quite a while now and yesterday I stardet again with my single char/insane difficulty game..
I got out of the Underdark and got on my way to do the sphere but I can't seem to get in.
"The door has a control panel on it, which appears to be missing a vital piece"
Know I got the message before and it didn't trouble me then..

This shouldn't be so hard to solve now should it..

Maby I was a bit short in my info.

I have already gotten in to the planar sphere using Valygar but my problem starts inside.
I get to the first room when one can turn right to the map room, left to the room with the golem and the 3 boxes (one, containing the golem arm)
and straight ahead to the room with the 3 knights..
But the door in the middle that leads to that room won't open.
It keeps saying: "The door has a control panel on it, which appears to be missing a vital piece"

This is my fifth time throug the game and I haven't had this problem before..
Go figure..

You could start off that quest in a more or less "official" way after talking to Tolgerias, who is standing in the middle of the Government Building. But I guess just skipping that part and rushing over to the cabin at the upper left part of the Umar Hills map to pick up Valygar (whether dead or alive, doesn't matter

) is good as well.

There should be something in one of the containers in the room to the left that opens the door.

yeah the piece is the the room to the bottom left. where exactly in that room i remember not. hope that helps

Hmm..

The only thing of value in that room, as far as I know, is the Golem arm.
I tried putting that, and valygars body and all other things i could come up with that might have something to do with this in my inventory with shadowkeeper but nothing..

Does Memnoch still roams theese parts of the Relm?
He used to have answers to everything...

There should be a switch to the right of the door you are
opening. Turn that and the door opens.

It says on the map that there should be a "panel to open inner door" just next to the door to the "map room"
Can't find it though..
Can there be a bug?
Might it have something to do with that opened the sphere with Valygar before I went to underdark without entering it then?

Like Aelia Jusa and AzRael StoRmBlaDe said, there is a key in the room with all the chests. The key is in one of them.
