I just installed BG II and the Throne of Bhaal expansion pack and I can't seem to be able to import my character from BG 1. I goo to the import page and all I see are the default characters and some with TOB in front of them. Can anyone help? Is it because of the expansion pack?

I think you need to copy the saved character files from BG1 to the "characters" directory where BG2 is installed via Windows Explorer before starting BG2.

Yeap, copy tour char1.chr from your Bg1 Character folder to BG2 Character folder. It should work. If you have custom portrait copy it also to BG2 portraits folder.
