I noticed that you cause more damage if you have a 2-handed sword instead of dual wielding 2 longswords. I can't really understand it. Mathematically, dual wielding must cause more damage than 2handed because it's 1d8+5+2 x 2 , and the other is 1d10+5+2. When you wield a 2handed sword does your str modifier being calculated twice? Your ideas about 2handed and dual wield?

Here's the formula
2 HANDED 1d10 + 7 (str modifier) + 3 (proficiency bonus) +2 (fighting style bonus) 13-22 damage DUAL WIELD 1d8 + 7 + 3 x 2 or 2d8 + 7 + 3? |

Well if a katana causes 1d10 damage and you can dual wield then a 2h sword will be weak? The strange thing is I cause MASSIVE damage with 2 handed but dual wielding causes always normal damages |

your wrong when it goes about the x2
as dualwielding does not mean you can hit twice as often you get one attack extra with dualwielding so in the higher levels you can get 3 attacks on a 2 handed and 4 on a dualwield so let say you use carsomyr and 2 +3 long swords to make it easier we won;t put in critical hits you get 1d10+5*3 =3d30+15= 18 - 45 damage in one turn + str bonus long swords 1d8+3*4 = 4d32+12 = 16 - 44 damgae in one turn + str bonus ------------------ I Am The SunGod Here To Enlighten You |

Waverido,
I asked a question and then give my own idea (answer). Hope u got it ![]() Well thanks rikard, I though that with dual wielding you hit with your 2 weapons at once I mean if your number of attacks is 4. You strike 4 times with both longswords. So, dual wielding isnt so much useful if you're right? But for only 1 extra attack I dont perefer dual wielding |

You don;t attack with 2 swords at once if you turn on to hit rolls you can see hit roll at the first attack and hit roll (left) with the second etc. |

I got it, but there's one more thign I wonder
You got a mace in your main hand. Your no of attacks is 2. You're making 2 attacks per round with mace. Then you wield celestial fury in your off-hand. Your no of attacks increases to 3. So you attack with mace 2 times and katana 1 times. Right? |
