get a scroll for lower resistance. I managed to kill the shadow dragon without it but I want to face Firkraag with it.

If she doesn't, then check the bookseller in Waukeen's Promenade or the merchant in the tent next to the djinns' in Trademeet. I remember I picked one up in one of those places, but I don't remember which. In addition, if you have a priest in your party, check out the description of the fifth level spell "Magic Resistance" - you might be pleasantly surprised
