I THINK you can leave the city again (although it doesn't make much sense plotwise) and come back. However, do NOT enter the palace, I don't think you can leave then.

If I remember this right, going to Suldanessar is the beginning of the end. lol Once you enter, i don't think you can retrace your steps out again, BUT I can't honestly say that I actually tried.

Regardless of whether you can retrace your steps or not, it does make sense to do all of the quests that you can before then.

I don't think they would have a map marker saying "Entrance to the Underdark" unless you could get back in. And I've already killed everyone there (except Adalon), so I'm not really worried about hostile Drow.

Well, if you go to the area called "Underdark entrance", you can go to the uppern reaches of the Underdark, with the deoms knights etc. But you cannot go down to the Drow city and stuff.

U can go back and do the Mind Flayer qeusts etc. but u cannot get back into the City IIRC. And BTW u can exit Suldanesselar at anytime u want, same with once u r in the palace, but once you are in the tree room u may not exit.

Well this is odd because i recently been in the tree room and i wanted to check out some stuff so i just exit the tree room in the palace and then out of Suldan. into Athkala and Trademeet.

So you can exit it as long you havent killed the bugs that are infecting the trees. I killed 2 of them and saved the last for the time I was ready for JonBOn.
