This is different. Can't just hack away. Keep getting killed, and tired of starting over. Read the book and got two walkthroughs, but noone really explains about the auto pause and Al on/off stuff. Can someone go step by step and tell me what to do so I can get into this...sorry I feel really stupid. When the red circle changes into four red quadrants...I just don't know what to do striking the enemy does no good...HELP!!!!

Well...
green stands for your group members (or charmed characters) that is, your allies
blue is for neutral characters
red is for enemies

When the circle changes to 4 squares, it means that you are doing an action with this character as objective. For example, if you have ordered one of your characters to heal another member of your party, his/her circle will change, or if you have ordered one of your characters to talk to somebody, the circle of the person you wanna talk to will change too. And its the same for enemies, if you order your characters to attack an enemy, its circle will change cause its the aim of your action.

Autopause: you should turn off all autopause options (except maybe "enemy on sight"). The autopause options will pause the game automatically when the specified action occurs. eg, if you have turned on only the enemy on sight option, when an enemy appears the game will pause so that you can prepare your actions.

AI: you can turn it off as well. This means that the characters will do some things automatically if its turned on. for example, when they see an enemy they will attack it automatically (and this isnt good). You can change their "behavior" in the character screen, clicking on "customize" and then "AI script". You will see a screen with various scripts (defensive, offensive etc).

if you need more help just post again !!
