Is there any way to enter the keep without losing
an attribute point ? It kind of sucks to lose an attribute point for good!!! Seems like there should always be a way to complete a quest without major permanent damage. Input ??? |

nope, it's a done deal...
![]() OK, don't tell anyone I told you this. If you're playing a multi-player game you can cheese past this. Export your character, then after the dream, import him back in. You lose the exp points, but keep the attribute point. ------------------ ![]() ![]() The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Phil |

That's life - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you have to lose something to gain something else.

It only makes the game harder and better. So what if my thief lost a point of intelligence, so what if my mage lost a point of constitution...

But it's so *embarrassing * to be running around with an intelligence of 9 when you're a child of bhaal. In my first game I made the mistake of increasing cha instead of int/wis (would you believe how I wailed and moaned when I found the ring?), and I was very lucky that I didn't fall into any paper bags, as I would have been unlikely to be able to think my way out of them. I'm trying to decide now whether it is cheating to increase a stat you actually have no use for (I always play tanks), just to stop you feeling like the dumb country cousin demigod. Otherwise everybody in ToB is gonna laugh at me.

It could be worse - in the game Fallout, your dialogue options are limited by your intelligence. A "tank" character was limited to comments like "Ug," complicating quests.

I think they put that stat removal in there to balance the game for people who played bg1 and got the tomes for increased stats. Unfortunately me and everyone else that didnt play bg1 get screwed.
