I rescue his daughter, come back to his cabin, speak to both him and his daughter and all they have to say "you can spend the night here if you're passing through". No gold, no experience points. I'm playing a good party but I sure felt like dropping both him and his daughter right there.

Are you saying that all the cool items you got in Firkraag's dungeon isnt enough?????? If you sold all that stuff youd make more than u get as reward for any of the other qeusts

Did you think that this guy who's lost all his wealth, his position of power, and most recently, his child, is going to gift you with an Ornate Gilded Longsword of Really Neat Flaming Buttload of Attacks +5?
 You finished his quest. You got a ton of goodies from the dungeon. And he cleared your name in town for you. That sufficeth. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Mystery solved. Even though the dialogue window says nothing I found every player gets 45,000xp (by comparing a save game just before entering the cabin). Must be some glitch preventing the information message but at least Bioware realizes no reward does not sufficeth.
