Hmm, this is a rather simple question.
When you start up Infinity Explorer, it asks for a path where an infinity engine game is installed. Now BG2 is among those games. So when I click browse, and clicks on the path where BG2 is installed, it just says that this isnt an Infinity Engine game! Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? -Whalken

Hmm, dont care about that, I got it to work.
But now I have another problem! I cant change the name etc on the items I would like to edit! Like, Carsomyr. I wanna name that something else, and have it usable by someone else. But I cant! What do I do? -Whalken

First of all, you can't use the Infinity Explorer to edit things. You have to download Teambg.com's Infinity Engine Editor. With explorer however you can extract the file and then edit it with the above-mentioned editor. It would be real easy to change carsomyr to a sword with another name and have less stringent restrictions.
