Trap Ability

When i get NPC's that are thieves, there trap set abilility is usually five to ten. How do I increase it!?!

When a thief levels up, you get points to distribute between his/her thieving skills. It's at the top left of the level-up screen and you cannot leave the level-up screen until you have allocated the points.
Read the info on Thieves on page 48 of your manual

When you gain levels you will get 25 skillpoints with your thief to share as you like among the skills..
There are also items like boots of stelth etc. that will rase your thieving skills

Oops! Sorry! Didn't read the question properly! Trap setting is added automatically as thief reaches certain levels. A Bounty Hunter kit Thief has MUCH the best trap-setting skill, with specialised traps as well as ordinary ones. Imoen can never improve on her Thief skills/trap setting
