newbie questions

Ive just started playing Bg2 recently after coming over from D2... ive completed Bg2 b4, but sort of without realising the full potential of many characters, ive started soloing a sorcerer based on alot ive read on these forums, and i was wondering, how do you guys get to such high levels? I know you use the exp cap remover, but how do you guys get to lvl 40+? I remember when i first played i was lvl 18 or something when i finished the game! How can you get to lvl 40+?

Also wondering... is there any advantage to starting a multiplayer character over a single player character?

For the first. Welcome New User. [img]smile.gif[/img] Plz to meet you.

Well to gain such level require that you do _ALL_ quests.
I bought Baldurs Gate 2 Throne Of Bhall yesterday and that Expansion Game makes you without the XpCapRemover to have 40+ lvl.
So my tip is to do _ALL_ quests, even the little ones.

Yeh, atm with my solo sorc im making sure i do ALL quests, just about talk to everyone in every town, very time consuming... ah well.

Also, is it worth goin in any buildings that arent marked on the map? Do they have anyhting other than gold and some cheap scroll?

You are doing exactly right.

Well here is a spoiler.
In some particular buildings in Athkatla there are liches who deliever fine XP and stuff. [img]smile.gif[/img]
Well there can be more than just gold and cheap scrolls.
Some important NPC such a surtain dwarf who is a nice little fellow with his craftmanship.
So go into all buildnings. [img]smile.gif[/img]

If u dont want 2 get ToB and ur ok with cheating u can get the Xpcap remover which as far as I know goes up 2 a lvl 50 rules pack... then if u want 2 cheat even more u can use CLUAConsole cheats or ShadowKeeper 2 get urself enough XP to fill up the 50 lvls.

hahaha, yeh i know about the dwarf weaponsmith and the lich (demi-lich) hehe... yeh, i got the XPcap remover, im planning to get ToB tomrow tho, so spose dont really need it. Thanx for your help guys tho.

Also, the CLUA console thingi your talking about, you talking about the one where you spawn firkgraag (or whatever powerful monster) and kill him, then repeat? hehe, anyways, i prefer not to cheat, well... not yet .. hehe, playing on core rules atm.. its a pity you dont get more exp for killing monsters on higher difficulties.
