HHmm i had a similar problem with the item maker..... i kept getting daft inventory messages. Then i noticed that i started up the IWD item maker and tried to use it in bgate2...... See if that helps. Did you start up the INfinity Editor for Bgate2? Or accidently pressed IWD and then continued to create the item for BGATE2?

Ey guys!!! I think I sort of know what happened... this message is only show if your reference text (the Identified one) is too short. I think you have to lengthen your history about the item for example, a sword. There should be like a side bar or something(look at the right side of your browser). After I just slapped my keyboard like a hundred times, the item was saved. What I don't get is the erroe saving text, blahblahblah.

You cant *actually* make it that it is only usable by your character, apparently way to much code would be needed.
So do the next best thing. Make it so that nobody other than your characters specific stats and class can use the item. Then in the inventory write down that it is only usable by your char. What is the chance of finding 2 identical chracters with the same stats? Thats it ----SMALL Thank me for my help, it does not come cheaply, you inferior mortal!!!! |
