I downloaded Shadowkeeper only yesterday, it's version 1.6.1. That's the latest version right?
Still, someone said on the board that you can edit all your party members but I can't. Could someone very kind please give me some sort of basic course on using Shadowkeeper or perhaps just give me an URL to a handbook on how to use it (if such a site exists)????? I would really appreciate any help as I've no experience whatsoever using this kind of programs. |

Melusine,
Your name alone (not your puppy dog eyes) is enough to make me help you even though it's 5 am in sydney on a Friday night/Sat morning and i've just got home and am really smashed and have used the backspace key 50 times in this message but here's the info: 1. Click here for some tips from the Shadowkeeper website. 2. Read the readme file, it has all the info on the features. In summary just select a savegame and you should be able to edit just about any attribute of all characters in your party at the time of your savegame. Enjoy! |

When you run SK, it should index your BGII resources. (save games) Go to file/load and pick the save you want to edit. You should then see a picture of your main Character and a bunch of menu options to the right. You can use the arrows on your character to advance through the rest of your party members. All options are available to these NPCs, as well.

Thank you so much!!! You are darlings
Memnoch, off to bed with you now! Sweet dreams (and hopefully no nightmares of message board characters coming alive and lurching off your screen to suck up the incredible amounts of Baldur's Gate knowledge stowed inside your head ~lol~) |

Melusine, make sure BG2 is not running in the background before starting shadowkeeper, as it will not load the saved files. Also be careful if you create impossible classes etc, as it can cause problems. I reccomend you don't abuse it too much as it will spoil the game for you. Try the minimum first. Have fun and as I said previously, love that name

>>>>Yes ambrosia is from greek mythology it is the food of the gods. However, I used this signature for a different reason: it's a line from BG1 from Xzar, the schizo wizard, and since I'm a singer fits me nicely I think
Thanks again everyone for your help |

Suul-Yinn,
I run BGII in the background with SK and have had no issues. It has always accurately indexed and loaded all my BGII resources. I can then tab back and check out my work immediately. Just did it for my daughter last night. Have you actually tried? |
