whe i was sick of an shadow thief i was going to kill him. i did:
flame arrow on him. suddenley is see a shadow thief and with one strike he killed me!!! (bastard) how is this possible?

The backstab is quite alot and kills new players easily hope that helps

You mean one hit wonder guy? he's there cuz you can't kill out the shadow thiefs yet. (or not at all depending on what choises you made)

You were killed by " Arkanis Gath"
He is the shadow thief that spawns when you kill another shadow thief.
Killing the shadow thiefs, when you're not told to do so, would get you stuck in the game, because you need them later.
This is why Arkanis Gath is there to make you see that its not a very bright idea. He has a HUGELY powerfull sword:
it gets him:
100 % Magic resistance
+ 20 THAC0 (or something round that number)
- 20 AC (or something round that number
and does 1000 fire, 1000 cold, 1000 poison and 1000 Undefined damage.
Plus the sword has something like 10 attacks per round and the range of a regular longbow. You will NOT survive the encounter.

I dont think he has a special sword...
Whenever he attacks me, he does 6 Damage to the character, and they die. I mean when he kills an NPC by the way... lets say Jaheira.
This is what i see on the little window down the bottom:
Yoshimo: Death
Arkansas Gath: Attacks Jaheira
Arkansas Gath did 5 Damage to JAheira
Jaheira: Death
Arkansas Gath: Attacks Iffnosi etc,
So ahh.. i guess he doesny have this special sword that does all that damage....
BTW- In this Example Jaheira Had somewhere around 100 Current HP.

Sorry, SookmaCook, but I believe that Daan's correct. That uber-sword is the game's way of telling you that you just did something that the game will not allow.

(I have heard of this uber-sword many months ago on this board.)

I'm aware of the fact that it says he only does 5 dmg.
But he DOES have the sword i mentioned, you can actually GET the sword yourself with CLUAConsole !!!!!

I believe its KILLSW01 (not sure)
I looks like a normal + something short sword, but you WILL notice the difference once you've attacked somebody [img]smile.gif[/img]
