help ned spoiler for valygars quest in sphere...I'm very confued

Hi, I am very confused with valygrs quest in that I killed his grandfather and now he wants me to bring him a demos heart. The confusing part for me comes in that there is a roating sphere outside that needs to be touched in a certain order in so that something might happen. I do not want to go outside for the demons heart and miss something special if it happens that th rotating sphere has nothing to do with the escape sequence. Any information would be accepted greatfully.

Actually, the sphere with the 'sparklies' flying around it, that room actually, has the entrance to the 'engine room' of the planar sphere. You need to go outside anyway and kill a demon, any demon there will give you a heart. Then come back to that 'sparkly ball' and look around - there are runes on the floor. You need to use these 4 runes in the correct order to open the door to the engine room. Well, the lower levels. The 'sparkly' ball is a "guardian" of sorts, and will zap you if you use the runes in incorrect order

Leave party outside of the room, slap on fire resistance (I think it was fire heh) and go fiddle the runes. Only 4 of them, so you will find the correct combination soon enough.

That 'rotating sphere' is needed if you wish to complete the quest. So go forth and slay a Demon and get its' heart, you will need to return to the 'rotating sphere' again after that.
