I recently read in a strategy forum that the max limit for speed was 125 and that if you had a character with a high speed or cast a high level haste and superman and went over the 125 max that it wraped back around 125 and you ended with a very low level of speed. Is this true and has it been fixed?

Yeah its true, or at least I believe so. BTW, the max limit for all stats is 125.

The same thing can happen with magical resistances, and some people have even had them drop negative because of too much protection. Dunno if this was fixed in the patch.

Max Attribute score that shows on your profile is 125 (that's also the effective max). It won't wrap around until 255, though, like the magical protections. The upper limit for everything had to be set SOMEwhere! That it was set just low enough that we can exceed it is the problem. In Divine Realm protection, they just made too much equipment with that; i've noticed it's a lot harder to overmax anything else without a Light Shield, and then only Fire and Water. Same with Speed; if there were a spell for, say, Int, then there could be trouble there, too.

The wraparound in divine is quite easy to get. With two amulets of healing (used for AC and regeneration), magic screen and soul shield, you are very close with a character with high devine resistance.

With speed, it's an high-end thing you won't see normally. You need maxxed speed (100), the snakeskin boots from ferro, cast a level 7 haste, and cast a superman on the fast character. In normal play, you usually won't cast both haste and superman.
