Rynjin/wilderness

Theses Rynjin are really tough.. it took me ages to get into the cave from the swamp.. there had been about 5/6 of theses and would kill me off in the 1st 2 rounds.. i can't believe i was able to do it.. (if anyone wants to hear my great story of victory i'l be more then happy to tell)

But now im underwater and what are the 1st beats to great you... Rynjin.. and it all happing again.. and advice on how to have a fighting chance?

I gave up and finished the T'rang quests, (i've just got my last prize from Z'ant for the blowing up the runway) and now a few levels up, a couple of new items The Rynjin are next on the list.. (as i have no other quests left)

I also had the same problem in that temptle in the wilderness parts.. i got the regenaration stone but wasn't able to stand up to what was in that tower..

Did anyone find Rex, Does he do anything? he dones't attack but you can't talk to him..i wasn't sure if he was there for any reason?

Your level might be too low for Bayjin or for the SE wilderness temple. Magic screen, soul shield and element shield help a lot in those battles.

Rex the hogar is just another unfinished quest.

Eye for an Eye helps with them too. Also try using X-Ray to spot them and start combat just out of their eyesight range (such that you surprise them). Use that surprise round to get up all your buffs against them, but also have someone do something to "get their attention" so that they will engage you (sonic boom is perfect, basically you want some kind area effect spell/bomb/etc that can cover where rynjin are). Silencing them after that round is also helpful.

The Rinjin aren't hard if you have several characters with fire spells. And as dplax said, you should have your protection spells up in the first round.

On the temple, try attacking the group outside
the temple but dont kill them just freeze them or
put them asleep then fire up your buffs to the max
and get your can elementals ready then go into
the temple.

PS I found this tactic on this message board and
have tried it and it works!!

on avrage my party is level 17.

In fact i got past them.. and now running about the water caves.. and getting lost lol...fun.

It was the Magic screen and element shield that gave me a fighting chance.. i didn;t have theses 1st time i tryed..but i soon saw what i was doing wrong and made sure i picked the correct spells.
Sonic boom doen't seem to have an effect on them.

But im gonna pass on trying to kill this sea monster for the moment... and theses psi sharks are tough. Soul shiled? i've not come across this yet..umm maybe thats my problem.

I don't think i tough enough yet to attack that temple yet.. maybe later lol.
