Hey Everybody,
I'm having fun with a bargain bin copy of this excellent game that I was able to pick up, but the manual that is on the CD is less then complete in my view, so I have a newbie style stupid question. I need to talk to the Rapax armorer about his quests as well as the Trang Leader about the 'mission' that he want me to undertake, but there is no option on the dialogue list that mentions quests or missions. What am I missing here>? Thanx

You can type anything you like into the little dialog box below the list of dialog options. Be creative in your use of this feature, especially around the ladies.

Welcome Atreides!
the dialogue list is rarely complete. it's just a list of the most obvious keywords, while you are allowed to type any keyword into the area you like. just click on the blue area, and you'll be able to type words like 'custom armour' or 'history' or 'mission'. (iirc Z'ant advises you to start talking on history before he wants to talk about the mission.) I'm not sure about the right keywords, but you should be able to get them. Or ask again ![]() |

Yeah, many times when you talk to someone, new items appear on the list but not always. Then you have to use the little "type in" box. Z'Ant is like that. First time you speak to him and join up with the T'rang, you type "strategy" and then after that exposition, you type "mission" to get your first assignment. Of course, you don't need to use quotes

In addition, as a shortcut you can double-click on any word in the dialog history to ask about it. The dialog history scrolls up the middle of the screen. Single-clicking will put the word in your little blue box; single-clicking while holding down shift will append the word to the little blue box.
