Hi there!

Well, I've been through the game, yes, but now I'm trying a solo (faerie bishop; I planned to change her to a ninja later on, but in fact, she's doing so well, I might not do it at all...), and everything goes really well, but I really need more spellbooks.

I've already visited Croc, which really helped, but I need those level 5 spell, so I'm wondering, when can I go to the rift or the castle? I remember that place being tough, so, at which level should I try? Reason I'm asking is, I don't want to get stuck, but if you walk into an area that is REALLY to much for you, that could happen, especially with a solo, especially since I don't have the portal spells (because I want to buy them from Ferro, right?). Anybody experienced with this? I'm level 14 now, when should I attempt? Or should I waste a spellpick on Return to Portal and get Set Portal from a certain place I know?

Thanks for any hints, cheers
Philipp

You can get the Return to Portal from the hogar cave, Northern Wilderness. The Set Portal was easier to find but I forget where. Lev 14 seems low to make it to Ferro as a solo Faerie Bishop. I have a Faerie Ninja (with RFS) who is now lev 19 (11 as Nin, 8 as Bishop) who I think can make it. Am doing the Mountain Wilderness first, Rapax next. I personally would want the Portal spells before attempting it so you can't get stuck. Of course, you have to set one before you go there! Let us know how it goes.

There's a hidden set portal book in the upstairs area of Marten's Bluff (where you fight the spirits before pulling the lever to open the way to the statue), and another inside the Mook compound in Arnika.

And I agree with Zig, you're probably too low in level for the Rift with just a single character.

there's also a set portal book in the rapax room by the 7th bough in trynton.

i think level 14 is plenty for hitting the rift, but i've never played with fewer than 3, so i have no perspective on a solo.

good luck!

I just played a few solo's and one duo into Rapax Castle. I've pretty well perfected my run through the place, and only had to kill up to the initiates on the chain bridge, and then 2 archers to get into the Courtyard, only about half the time having to kill anything in the Courtyard; even if engaged, i run to the Castle entrance. Then of course the Throne Room...death bomb...and Bingo, you're a Templar! Only one of my solos had too hard a time with El and Al at L16, so i killed the Zoo and went back and got them at L17.
