A gadgeteer can use them to make another kind of bomb.

yeah the bomb is called a noisemaker. you combine gunpowder with the bottle. if you use it, it gives you sonicboom. 1x

there's also a black lava pit in the swamp that anyone can dip the MT bottles into to make cherry bombs. not a bad weapon or money maker early in the game.

no but i found about 20 by the end of the game.
