I can't find any info. on these two abilities. I checked the manual
and the strategy guide and there's nothing. The turning thing is pretty obvious but it doesn't give any damage rating. The miracles thing is a mystery to me.

There's no further info in the manual, so you could just try.
Turn undead usually does a good amount of damage to undead, with a chance to paralyze them. Miracle has a random effect, sometimes nothing. I normally don't use it (completely forgot it exists). Some possible effects are IIRC: Restore stamina, heal, strike all opponents with a elemental attack, damage one opponent. |

i usually get a guardian angel on one of my characters when i use the miracle ability.
turn undead only seems to work on udead that are lower in level than the character who is doing the turning. banish does way more damage, but will not paralyze udead.

I've found that praying for a miracle is more successful as the combat progresses. I had my priest do this many times in the very early part of the game. I've found less useful now that I'm fighting tougher monsters.

Hey Gab,
How are things in my home town of Ottawa. I've been living in Dartmouth (Halifax) NS for, going on, five years now and my brother just moving here last week. I was just there a month ago and some areas sure have changed since I was there about two years ago; especially the west end! Thanks for the info. y'all!

Turning undead definitely depends upon your character's level ... and it seems to depend upon the difference in levels between your characters vs the monsters.
It may also - but I'm not certain - depend upon the amount of stamina the character has left. I've gotten much more damage trying it in the first round vs in, say, the fourth round of combat. My three bishops' first-round Turn Undeads nearly single-handedly wiped out the Wheel-Key-Room ghosts under the Arnika Temple. They were 6th level at the time; I'll admit to having been surprised at just how much damage they were able to inflict - the 2nd round was just my Samurai mopping up with a single low-power Magic Missiles. |
