Is it at all possible for one character to "use" a potion on another character in combat? Since I can't pass things around during combat, I was just wondering about using them on each other instead. Unless someone could tell me how to pass items around during combat that is... This is my first time playing the game, I've only actually played one session and got my Felpur Samurai killed by the crabs! LOL
And, at the beginning, if I stupidly kill myself like that, do I lug the dead body around until I find somewhere to get him resurrected? Or is it better to just restart or add a new version of him to the party instead?
I'm coming from a long time addiction to the M&M series which has now sadly ended, and am so incredibly happy I found Wiz8, I'm really loving it, but the learning curve is a bit steep right at the outset. Thanks!!

You can only use a potion on the character who carries it, but you could have both characters 'equip' in one round and switch the potion, then use it next round.

Alas, you'd loose a lot of attacks by doing so: far better idea to have every one carrying a couple heals, and poison cures.

There are several reserection powders available early on: if you haven't done the monestary yet [and are being killed by the crabs on the beach], I'd restart-- you'd have to survive some pretty tough fights to get to them. If you have done the monestary, you should have some on hand...

If memory serves, one is inside the 'safe' in the kitchen area, another is halfway down the waterfall, and there are others.

Use 'em sparingly: they are pricey and rare. Happily, you won't need them much later on: there are items like the stone of new life which can be regenerated by selling/buying it while it still has at least one charge, and the reserection spell is nice too, of course.

Thanks Oru, that's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to lose that many rounds! LOL And yes, I'm dying on the beach. But, I was just learning the interface, how to walk around, how to do combat, how to flip thru the map, etc... I'll just restart until I manage to survive the crabs. Makes a nice little tutorial, wandering around on the beach. Next time maybe I'll have a smarter question!

yeah... you have to "lug" them around till you find a resurrect spell. It's no big deal.

I cheated and i've some real powerful characters and they still die every now and then.
My Felpurr Ninja has died like 10x, and she's my 3rd strongest character.
My Gadgeteer has died probably like 20x, and he's my 2nd strongest.

And my Mage and Bishop.... they always #@$^%ing die. No worries... i go into town, by resurrect and VOILA! they're back.

Losing weaker characters on occasion has an advantage, as the surviving get extra experience. (hence why it says "the survivors gained #### experience")
Which was cool when i had just my Dracon Lord and my unconscious Elf Mage's Elementals fighting a Death Knight. Cause that boosted their experience like mad. (i think i got 2 level ups for the mage and 1 for the lord)

Personally, after opening the beach treasure chest, I head indoors without fighting the crabs until my guys have some levels under their belts...

thought i'd mention the fact that some potions effect the whole party when taken by just one person. potions of haste, and chameleon work this way. i agree with orubis: better to leave the battle with crabs til tou hit second or third level cos otherwise there's a good chance one of the party will get killed.

ooooh.
i always use the crabby heads on the beach for my practice... i find ammo stashes and another weapons cache that really make my entry into the monastery much easier.

i like picking off crabby heads from a distance, too. the Blonde Brigade doesn't like getting dirty, so we snipe instead.
