... of the pre-patched game is a load of fun!

Basically, my system crashed (my own fault!) and I lost over 100 hours of Wizardry 8 playtime.

It took months for me to get back to it.

But I finally did.

I am playing the original release (so no patches on it). So I was able to get my pick pocket to 100% without vendors getting ticked at me. And also, killing Brekek repeatedly by setting a portal right there with my priest, and one at Crock with my mage. I was able to bounce back and forth in the blink of an eye!

I have finally managed to get all my characters back to the level they were at, or pretty damn close. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I just gotta say... poor Brekek doesn't stand a chance against Instant Death L5... or against RFS-81's Critical Strike... wow. RFS-81 simply rocks. Not to mention, he's damn funny! (Though not as funny as Myles, who is by far, my favorite NPC in the game)

Fun With Frogs 101

So last night - I realized, I was killing Brekek too fast with a full party. So what I ended up doing was having all the non casters, do DEFEND (or GUARD the mage or priest) - and then just magicked the hades out of the frog. I was even healing him to keep him alive, just to do more magic on him!

It was loads of fun - a fight that should take 2 rounds with my party was lasting 40 rounds, as I depleted all my magic into him, just to bring up my magic skills. The funny thing is - from time to time, Vi's sword skill would go up, and also RFS-81's Critical strike would go up - despite neither of them ever attacking.
