Since the trainer here doesn't work with the patched version, can anyone give me some battle tactics for the Keeper and his undead minions? This is a battle I can't win.
Any help appreciated.

If you're this far along, you've probably already fought the Temple gang with their Death Lords. The Keeper is their first cousin.

Make sure you have all your buffing spells up (magic screen, armorplate, etc).

Eye for an Eye is a must for the Death Lord, either the spell or potion. If you can get his spells boomeranging back onto him, he'll damage himself while you hack away at him. Just remember that Eye to an Eye, depending on the caster's level, only lasts 3-4 rounds, so be sure to cast it again on someone else before it wears off.

The undead can be hit with Banish or Holy Water. IIRC, if you're careful about popping up through the hole, you can often work it so that you fight the Keeper first, then the undead.

Banish and Holy Water are two spells I pick as soon as I can. They make quick work of undead, banish in particular.

I think it would help if we knew what your party is made up of -- tactics are all based on what you have in the arsenal.

You are right, Solomon. If I don't succeed with a few more tactics, I'll come back with my "arsenal". Thanks for answering.

I met Keeper with my party of 3 members - Fighter (made from ninja on lvl 18), bishop and mage. 1st turn - Element Shield and Soul Shield. 2 casts of Banish on the second turn cleared off his minions. Then I went closely to him (mage and bishop were too far from Keeper to reach) and during 2-3 turns wiped him out (my fighter has only the Fang ( ).

KotC was a pain.

But I managed to beat him by the second fight.

I used PRAYER with my priest, then did - what was it? Firestorm? - with my mage. Then went in and hacked to pieces, every round doing INSTANT DEATH with my priest (didn't have Death Wish yet).

Also had Vi as the designated healer (I believe it was). I brought up Vi's Divination fairly high by always using her to cast MAKE WOUNDS. So by the time I got to the keeper - she was inferior to my priest, but she still had a good amount of divination. Also, everyone was equiped with 2-4 HVY HEALING potions, that they'd quaff. Go straight for the Crypt Keeper - once he's out of the way, the rest of the undead fall pretty easy.

Thanks to all who responded. Using Rhea's tactics, I was able to defeat the KotC last night. I used Eye for an Eye first, then I used Banish on the undead minions. Since I thought HE was almost immune to magic, I moved in the cut him down. WRONG! After the ghosts, I just stood there (he doesn't move either) and cut him down with missile weapons. He got three of my people, but he is dead now and they aren't.

Thanks again for all the comments.
