If you go straight to the point I may say 30 hours or so. Of course if you are used to the gameplay and the univers, know the story line you may do it much faster.

I enjoyed building up my team and look around the first time so it took me the double or so.

Gee.., it's a bit of a short game isn't it.

Not sure if I'll get it now. Not a full price anyhow.

Short? No I think it's average now a day. But it also depends on your play speed.

Phil, as Ice said, IF you go stright to the point, ie do nothing but what's needed to finish the game, then 30 hours is about right.

However, if you take the time to explore everywhere, talk to everyone, complete all the available quests (this varies depending on your approach, but you'll get roughly the same number of quests). Then you'd looking more likely at 60-80 hours, possible more.

And don't forget the re-play value. Lots of people on the forum have re-played Wiz 8 at least once. New parties and new tactics plus finding new equipment really keep the game intresting.

Oh right, I see... Well I like to talk to every one and
do all quests, so 60-80 hours is ok.
Guess I'll get it. I'll wait till I've finished Wiz Gold.
I'm about 10 hours into it an really enjoying it.
Also about 2hours into Wiz 1. Wiz Gold has distracted me
from Wiz 1 though. So has Might & Magic 7 for that matter.

AND THEN THERS'S......M&M 6 and 8 I have there waiting to be
played. An unfinished BG2, Arcanum, Silver, Arcatera, Operation
Flashpoint, Panza Elite, Heavy Gear2, Harpoon II + a few others
....AND I am
going to get Gothic and Morrowind.

HAY!!!!! is anyone else here a crazy as this.
"WHAT THE HELL DO I NEED ANOTHER GAME FOR"
.
..
.....
.......
...............do I need to see shrink ?

The length of the game have nothing to do with how good it is.
I still play Arena and Daggerfall and the old SSI AD&D games and
other old game that I than able to play on WindowMe.
