Hi,

I'm Cam AKA Praxis and have been playing Wizardry 8 and LOVE IT!!!

Almost as good as Wizards and Warriors (grin grin).

I do have a question: How do I get someone to help me merge the two 'vines' to cross the broken bridge to kill the breeder rats???? I've spoken to the shaman and stuff!

You shouldn't need anything special to merge the vines. You need to merge the vines instead of getting an NPC to merge them. Just pick up a vine and click on the merge button (in the lower left area - two arrows curving towards each other). A plus sign should appear as part of the item. Then click on the other vine. The two should become one Vine Rope.

I don't suppose anyone has any news on an expansion or something? I know this is the last in the Series of Wizardry games

but an expansion is still possible...right?

It's some time ago , before wizardry 8 was published but i read in one game mag here in germany that they began working on wizardry 9 because they had already finished 8 but i don't know if it's still up to date and what's finaly now with sir tec company

Hi guys!

CAM here, Ive just been to my freinds place and hes been playing Wiz 8 for awhile and I couldnt get over the levels his got his characters at and the places hes gone too! If there is going to be a Wiz 9 I cant imagine what needs to be improved!?! What do you reckon????

STC had started work on both Wiz9 and Wiz10, this was one of the reasons they took so long getting Wiz8 to market, was that they tried for some time to find a publisher who'd publish Wiz8 and fund further development on 9&10. This sadly did not come to pass, and STC make their "deal with the devil" (EB) to get Wiz8 on shelves. (You'll notice when you finished Wiz8, it saves a ENDGAME.SAV which was to be used to import the party in further games).

With STC reduced to little more that a company on paper, all the Wiz9/10 notes, code and related material are probably quite literally shelved or secured in a safe somewhere. There is little hope that this statge that it will ever see the light of day.
