jaheira and shape shifting

Aha! osme of you may recall past threads where some of us had problems with jaheira losing the shape-shifting ability.

I had this problem. I just did part of the harper's stuff (SPoiler) where i had to kill teh guy who wanted to be a herald. Now Jaheira has pledged herself to me over them, we wlak out and boom, her ability is back.

Here is my theory. The programmers built this in that she losses her ability if you don't go deal with the Harpers by some point. I am in the day 55 or so. The logic here is that she has torn loyalties or is too detached from teh harpers and has to reconnect before she regains her powers.

Ok, goofy, yes, but is there a different possibility?
