Help with Identify? I don't know how to make Identify work.
Very early in game. Like other rpg's, i assume I
must identify something before I can use it.

You can equip unidentified items, you just won't have all the information about the item. Sometimes you'll get an update in the game. Example, I picked up the Piercing Pipes on Arnika Road, but didn't have ID Item spell yet, but my bard could still use it, and every time I used it, I'd find out more about it. It'd say "The item appears to do Shrill Sound (2)" or something like that.

You can learn the 2nd Level spell Identify Item. Easiest way to do that is to wait until you get to Arnika and buy a Book of Relics from Anna so you don't have to waste a spell pick on it.

Someone in your party with a good artifacts skill can do a partial ID, but ID Item spell is better.

If your caster has Identify, you first click identify on the bottom of your inventory screen. Your mouse prompt will now appear as a question mark. Simply click on the item you want to identify and voila!

And if the item is in someone else's inventory, click on their face first.

After enough skill points, identify is automatic. Just grab the object and put it in inventory, and it will be ID'ed

Yes but don't waste skill point during leveling in artifacts. I had a bishop and his skill toped at 100 at the end of the game. I didn't even put a single point in it.

You just have some items at the start of the game that are a mistery, but as soon as you have the spell thinks goes fast.
