Hi folks!

When I try to cast a long ranged spell that has a spherical range, I sometimes have the following problem: Sometimes there's something between me and my target, that's not in the way for arrows and similar stuff, but I can't move the staff with the globe through it. Like, if there's flowing lava (just love that area ) between me and my enemies, I can totally forget about such nice things as acid bomb, but of course they happily keep on casting firebal etc... Any known way around that? Any help appreciated....

Never forget your towel, cheers
Philipp

Spells with the blue ball are like bows. You cannot cast trough walls. You must be in range.

Hi ice3!

Thanks for your answer, but that's exactly what I mean: They SHOULD be like bows, but if there's a lava flow between you and the target, bows and even thrown weapons can attack like normal, but I can't move the ball through the stream, because I can't get it out there...

Never forget your towel, cheers

It seems that the staff of these kind of spell MUST touche a passable place in order to move. I have often the trouble to place it proprly in Tryton with all the narrow passages. It's just that the targetting system isn't very efficient for this spell.

You could always try moving the staff up and down to see if that helps. There have been times that I have lifted the staff and flown over objects and been able to cast the spell. I don't remember if you can do that over lava, but it wouldn't hurt to try. (Well, if you keep getting pelted by fireballs, maybe it would hurt.)

To get your staff to "fly" hold down the right button and move the mouse. Let go of the button and your staff will move around again.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, thanks. I hoped that there is some kind of "press ALT and TAB, then you can lift the globe over any wall" I missed in the manual...

If you are using your mouse, tou can also move the 'ball' up and down by holding both buttons I think. comes in very handy t when firing down off of bridges, stair cases or other types of terrain.

Yaks! Didn't know this! That will help to place it more easily.
