Greetings:

I'm interested in hearing whether the teeming millions have an opinion as to whether to ally with one or both (i.e. double agent) of these factions.

Thanks!

By all means, do both sides. Aside from the extra experience (and money from the T'rang), this will set you up for the alliance later on in the game (just don't destroy any ships). Double agent is definitely the way to go....and that's the straight dope

Just remember that if you play double agent, He'Li in Arnika will blackmail you by threatening to let out your secret to both sides unless you pay her some gold (around 2000). I paid her.

When I showed up in her bar she made mention of the fact I was now working for the Trang.

She didn't ask me for any money but I dropped some on her anyway. It was around $1000 as I recall. Will she ask for more later? Should I just give her more?

Thats the problem with these bribes, they never end...

Yes she will ask you money, the blackmail starts when you have the 2 letters and then see miss barmaid.
