Was just wondering. After you talk to Marten, he leaves, but you can engage combat with him before that and he will fight you. He is listed as a level 38 mob with 500+ hp. Has anyway ever tried and suceeded in beating this guy? I tried but failed because everyone in the party went nuts. I ended up killing myself with instant kills! [img]smile.gif[/img]
BTW, even though my bishop has the most number of kills, in a royal rumble within my party, the ninja still comes out on top. He was the last guy left standing and he killed 3 other people. [img]smile.gif[/img]

You likely went insane not because a spell Marten cast you, but because the DD ended in the party inventory.
He is fairly beatable if you avoid that. |

First time I talked to him, I had to kill him 'cause I encountered a bug which said something like a missing script/dialog for RFS-18 everytime I tried to leave. Could not exit dialog with the ghost, so in desperation I clicked on attack and fought him. Killed him without too much trouble really, though I eventually decided to reload as I was worried there might be consequences later in the game. Was able to complete dialog second time around without the bug showing up. Also, I think you'll miss out on the xp the ghost gives to all party members when you end dialog, though you do get the kill xp (forgot how much he was worth).
And Warhammer is right, your insanity was due to the DD in your party inventory, not the ghost. You have to have one of your characters wear the Helm of Serenity and then put the DD in that character's personal inventory. |
