Thanks for the answers in advance....
1) I dont understand how you open chest. You search, get the green or yellow boxes...but then what? Pick one from the list on the right? Or click on a green box? Im confused.... 2) Two of my guys got drained on the fifth bough....should I reload? Or can I find some renovation potions nearby? Thanks! |

1) first, you have to identify the trap: If you have the divine trap spell, cast it; then let your rogue/ninja/whoever examine the trap (magni. glass icon). This should result in a "guess" as to the parts of the trap showing up in the rectangular panel. Now, scroll through the trap type list until you find one that "fits" the guess, i.e., there are green boxes around the revealed parts. To disarm, click on each part. I understand you can also try the knock spell to disarm and open, though haven't tried it myself.
2) Don't remember exactly where the rejuv potions are, but I found plenty in my game and never had to buy one. The potions shop in Trynton probably sell them. Hope this helps. |

When you search on a chest, there are 8 possible "parts" to a trap. Each trap is made up of two or more "parts". When you search, the person searching is telling you that either 1)"I know this piece is part of the trap.", 2 "I am not sure if this is a piece of the trap or not.", or 3) "This is not part of the trap." Your job is to try to match the trap from the list on the right, with the pieces that your thief/ninja/gadgeteer/bard has found. Once you have pieces in green boxes and no pieces in red boxes, you click on each piece, one at a time. Your character will try to disarm each piece.
Good Luck, Knarfling

only thing that cures draining is RENEWAL pots.
alky's can make 'em, but for the most part, go to someone like Lord Braffit at arnika temple for 'em. ![]() V***V

And how bad is being drained? I cant remember where my guys were at when it happened, so I cant really compare. I imagine there are different degrees, and I know its not good, but I just beat that big bat in Tryton and I'm trying to weigh whether or not to redo it or not....Thanks!

Cant you get a renewal potion from Fuzzfass (sp) in Trynton? I'm pretty sure you can.

quote: Being drained just means you've lost some HP until you use a Renewal potion. I had it happen to me several times and just didn't worry about it until I went back to stock up on ammo and then I either used one of the potions I had stored or I bought one. The most HP I ever had drained was 7 and it was from someone with 75 or so HP so it wasn't really a big deal. If you have it happen to you at low levels or to someone with few HP, however, it is best to get it taken care of quickly as those people can't afford to lose any HP. ![]()

you can get rid of draining and its results w/out renewals; you have to drink from either mountain spring in mt gigas, umpani barracks, or from the basin at the braffit's, arnika; dont recollect more sources now, but there might be more places;
sources i mentioned work for several times each only good luck

Braffit's pool only renewed 3 of my people, and they went to it at the same time.
so it's prolly 3 uses whether all at once, or one char 3 times. i, personally, don't count on fountains, because when i really need them, they are usually all used up. i say MAKE the potions. besides which, they cost super little to make and you can sell them for a HUGE profit. i made 34,000 profit in one sitting ( made 11 potions ). double that number, because i have 2 bishops. :;big smile:: it's how i fund buy spellbooks for the both of them. besides which, if you get HPs drained, its not always so minor. i run speedy, magickal groups and when they lose as much as 10 hps against one bat, their encumbrance will go into the RED and then they can't move. i think that's definitely NOT a minor problem.
