Let me preface this by saying there's a very good chance that I'm a moron. Nevertheless, I can't figure out how to use my newfound rocket launcher on the dummies on the target range in Mt. Gigas. I can't initiate combat, and it doesn't come up as a usable item. Is there some button to push, or some door in the mesh fence I haven't found? Thanks for any help.

I just did this one last night. First of all, put the rocket launcher in your weapon slot (it's two-handed). Second, put any available rockets directly onto the launcher (it should have a small number on it denoting how many are loaded; I think it holds six). I don't know if rockets work like arrows or bolts in the second slot.
Now that you are armed, just click on the sword icon on the bottom of the screen. That should put you into combat mode. If you just want to get rocket practice, put all your other party members on "defend" and start firing! It does take a while to destroy the dummies, but whoever has the rocket launcher does improve a bit. I ended up going into full battle mode after a while and letting everyone practice, since it seemed to be taking too long. Some members couldn't reach with their spells, so I just let them practice range attacks. P.S. You're not a moron, by the way! Dan |

Thanks for the response. Did you just stand in front of the "window," or did you get closer? I keep getting the "there are no enemies to fight" message.

Did you target one of the dummies manually? after clicking sword to initiate combat, possible everyones weapons are red (there is no true enemy they see) you then manually click on launcher in whoevers hands and then click on one of the dummies

I stood directly in front of the window. With my gadgeteer (who had the highest modern weapons skill), I selected one of the dummies, which turned green during combat.
One of the other party members might not be in range, in which case, the dummies would be red. Dan |
