I saw last nite that Don Barlone is level 20 (when going back to Trynton to place Marten's idol....) Mythology tells me he's a "mighty" enemy.

My party is level 12-14 ( disparity due to some party members being DEAD at any given point during some earlier battles !) How hard could this guy be against 8??!!!?

Any thoughts or experience killing Don?

I was around Level 10 when I took him on. Didn't lose anyone (but had a couple near deaths). Close to melee and have a couple of ranged attackers (or magic users) occupy his assistant. Not much work for a big payoff in XP and goodies including the... well I'll let you find out... .

I took down the Don yesterday, and by principle I kinda wish I hadnt. No faeries in the group, so basically no real reason to kill him 'xept to avoid paying the rather fair price for the AD. LOL 'Course, its only a game and so what the hey . But about the fight, my party was around L15-16 at the time, he didnt give anyone a hard time, though he's rather quick. He's great at avoiding hits sometimes and he does happen to be resistant to most magic. If having a hard time with him(cant foresee this unless he's taken on waayy too early), maybe use an armormelt scroll to get his AC down a bit.
