Is is about time someone started this topic. I would have started it earlier but I was too busy playing to realize it wasn't on the board yet.

You know you are addicted to Wizardy 8 when ....

...you think that a 5 hour game session is a short one.

...you look for ways in real life to level up so you can boost your own stats.

...you have taken a bottle of sleeping pill and crushed them into a powder which you carry around in case you are attacked.

...you have experimented to see if you can make your own powders and potions.

...you ask if you can have a humpawhammer installed at work to make the commute time shorter.

...you swear that the two poeple at work that argue all the time look exactly like an Umpani and a T'Rang. Right down to the horn and the slime.

...you look for ways to cast charm on your boss before talking to him or her.

...you call said boss either Death Lord or Sorcerous Queen. (sometimes you are not sure which one he or she is.)

...you are always looking up in trees hoping to catch a glimpse of a trynnie or giant rat.

...you have been looking for a Filcher's Band because you need to improve your pickpocketing skills without getting caught.

And the number one way to know that you have been playing Wizardy 8 too long..

...you have started walking down the sidewalk as close to buildings as you can so that you don't get surrounded if you are attacked.

.....You're walking around with a group of friends, look sideways and is surprised that you can see the others.

You know that you're playing Wizardry 8 too much in Phased combat mode when.....

.....You get constantly beat up in bar brawls because you don't hit anyone till it's your turn.

When your first thought after realizing you don't know where your car keys are is to cast a Detect Secrets spell.

... when you walk by something you thought you lost and say, "Item found."

... when you're sleeping and hear a mosquito in your room, draw your sword from the wall and shout, "A fight? Allllll right!" (followed by insane laughter)

... when you try to spell a word and get it wrong and shout, "This is terrible!"

... when someone throws something by you and hits you, and you say with a wise voice, "We can see the attack from our enemies in the front, but not when they strike from the back!"

You are continually going online to share all the good vibes of all the Wiz 8 players. Then it's back to gaming.

.......when you start seeing your friends in a different light, Strength 16, Dexterity 12, Intelligence 5, etc

.......when the only good book you want to settle down with is the Wiz 8 manual

.......when the only dreams you have include Slimes, HLL guards and walking poppy plants

.......when your 11 yr old daughter comes running in with a bleeding finger and you say "wait a sec sweetie, I just have to kill a couple more creepers" (this actually happened...ouuuuu...Im a bad daddy)
