Blasted mook hologram bug (again)

I have problems with this bug, and i have updated the game to v0001b or whatever it is, still doesnt work. Searched the wiz8 homepage for a solution again and it said that you can send in the savegame and theyll edit it. Cool i thought but, so i did so yesterday. Today they answered my mail and said that they wouldnt do it and that i had to wait for the next patch!

Fudge it! Some customer support i say! They should take away the text saying:

If this has already happened in your game, please either revert back to an older save or send your broken save with an explanation to bugs@sir-tech.com. It is critical that this error be fixed in your save game.

So now for my question: Does any1 know how to edit the file?

The customer support is fine. Hell, be thankful that they're even supporting it since the company for the game isn't even really around anymore. If they're saying wait till the next patch, probably means they have figured it out, and will now be correcting it with the patch (which they have been pumping out fairly quickly, all things considered). Because the Mook hologram isn't working at the moment, doesn't mean it's the end. Just do some random hunting and levelling while ya wait.

you do know that if you install the patch, you still have to revert to an earlier save, right? the patch doesn't magically fix actions you have already taken.

so, with that out of the way, did you try that, sugar? they ask the player to do everything on their end first before going to sir-tech for savegame fixes.

and, of course, if there's any evidence that it's been tampered with, they won't touch it.

honestly, sweetie, it's hard for me to believe that you think they HAVE to fix your savegame.

first of all, i don't know of any other tech team that has worked one on one with their players the way sir-tech has.

second of all, they offered to do that originally out of their love for their game. along came the gamers who can revert to earlier saves but won't (out of laziness or whatever) and flood them with begs to fix their saves, and you know what? i wouldn't want to do that either. especially if it took away from the time needed to make another patch. or help someone who really needed it.
